FAQs

How do I organise my swim?

+
-

A good starting point is to think about your distance. Would you like to set a target for lengths, or have a specific distance in mind? Also, would you like to do the challenge in a pool or open water? Once you’re settled on the challenge, follow our steps above to get started on promoting your fundraising.

How do I fundraise?

+
-

The best and easiest way to fundraise is by creating a JustGiving page. All donations raised via your page will come through to us automatically, and you’ll have a link you can easily share with family and friends via email, WhatsApp and social media.

What support will I receive?

+
-

Let us know you’re fundraising for us and we’ll be on hand to support you all the way, with guidance, resources and top tips. Our expert team are here to make sure you have all the tools and confidence you need to make your fundraising a success.

Is there a minimum fundraising target?

+
-

There isn’t! Set a target that you’re comfortable with in the knowledge that everything you raise will make a lifesaving difference. Remember, for every £40 you raise this could help us add another potential lifesaver to our register.

I already have a place in a swimming event. Can I fundraise for Anthony Nolan?

+
-

We’d be delighted if you’d like to fundraise for Anthony Nolan with your event place! To get started, we would suggest creating a JustGiving page, and if you need any support at all, or have any questions, you can reach out to our Events team at events@anthonynolan.org

I treated the swimming training in the same way that you would when building up for a 10k, half marathon or marathon - whatever distance is your challenge. It's not a race either! The aim is to finish, preferably comfortably! It was useful to have that in mind when I planned my training.

I had no idea how involved the charity would be in encouraging me and offering support. It made it that much more special and made it feel so much more worthwhile. I'm pleased to have found such an awesome charity that I can support for a long time.
