You could give someone like Philip another chance to live
61-year-old Philip from Plymouth has been diagnosed with a rare type of blood cancer - Mycosis Fungoides, which initially presented as a small itchy patch on his chest. However, 18 months ago, the condition progressed to his bloodstream, requiring intensive chemotherapy. Now Philip urgently needs a stem cell transplant to save his life.
Philip and his family are appealing for people to sign up to the stem cell register - especially those who share Philip's Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. Philip's daughter Issey, says, 'It's incredible that such a simple thing - signing up and doing a cheek swab - could give someone like my Dad a second chance at life'.

Hardly anyone talks about being a stem cell donor. To register is such a simple thing to do, and it could give someone like me the gift of more time with my family.

£40 could sign up a new lifesaving stem cell donor who could go on to save a life like Philip.
I would do anything for Dad, so finding out I couldn’t be his donor was shocking and heartbreaking. My Dad is so kind, generous and he means everything to me. But we're hoping to find that perfect match.
