Sports, social, faith and community groups

If you’re involved with an organisation, or have a friends or family group, where there are lots of people in the 16-30 age bracket, we’d love to get them on the register with your help!

Here are some ideas on how events in these settings can work:

• Training sessions and matches or tournaments are a great opportunity for in-person recruitment at sports clubs. We will send you everything you need to set up a stand and give you full training. Or you could order a Letterbox Lifesavers kit and sign up 20 people over the course of a week. 

• Many faith groups and places of worship run recruitment events, and these can be combined with a talk explaining the importance of joining the register. If there is a youth group in the 16-30 age bracket, even better!  

• If your club, team or group has a WhatsApp group or Instagram page that everyone follows, why not use some of our downloadable resources to shout about joining the register? 

• Festivals and larger events are a great opportunity to run an in-person event and promote it in advance. We can work with you to plan a really fun and engaging recruitment stand that will get people talking and swabbing!  

• Social events with family and friends are the ideal occasion to use a Letterbox Lifesavers kit – we post out a kit containing 20 swab wallets, give you some online training, you give out the swabs and wallets and people just post back their own swabs.
