Three cyclists pedalled the length of the country and climbed three mountains in memory of their friend, and raised money and awareness for us along the way.
Jon Youles, Nick Knorr and Richard Kirk cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats with a detour to climb the 3 peaks on the way. This amazing challenge had three goals: complete the ride and the climbs, raise money for Anthony Nolan and raise awareness of joining the register.
The three Buckinghamshire men decided to take on this event in memory of their friend Lee Davis-Conchie after he passed away in October 2013. Lee was a fantastic supporter of Anthony Nolan.

Here's how their challenge broke down:
- 11 days of cycling
- An average 95 miles per day
- 3 days on foot ascending Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis
- Several new people on the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register.
- A staggering £4,600 raised from generous friends and strangers

Jon Youles says “It was a brilliant challenge, one we are completely chuffed to have managed, but more importantly we hope we have helped Anthony Nolan continue to cure sufferers of blood cancer in memory of our friend Lee Davis-Conchie.”
Nancy Gray, Community Coordinator at Anthony Nolan, said, ‘The amount raised by the Jon, Nick and Rich from their amazing challenge is absolutely vital in supporting our lifesaving work. It costs £100 to recruit each person to the Anthony Nolan register, so the more fundraising we do, the more potential donors we can recruit onto the bone marrow register, and the more lives we can save.’
