Responding to news the government has announced £50m to support charity-funded early career researchers, Professor Steven GE Marsh, Chief Bioinformatics and Immunogenetics Officer at Anthony Nolan, said:
"Our dedicated Anthony Nolan Research Institute plays a vital role within the Life Sciences sector to understand how we can improve transplants by looking at our HLA genes and how immunotherapy can develop new cellular therapy treatments.
"This funding from MRC-UKRI means Anthony Nolan can nurture and develop our talented team of early-stage career scientists whose work will enable more transplant patients to survive and thrive."
