Everyone at Anthony Nolan was deeply saddened last week to learn of the death of John Petchey. John, who had a stem cell transplant in 2011, inspired the partnership between Anthony Nolan and the Jack Petchey Foundation.
Together we have run awareness sessions on the importance of signing up as a stem cell donor for tens of thousands of young people in London, and inspired thousands of young people to the register.
John will be sorely missed by all of us.
We are hugely grateful to him, his family and the Foundation for their fantastic support for our work – support which leaves a legacy of young stem cell donors who will save lives for years to come.
