Looking for a night to remember?

Take on the London Halloween Walk and risk a hair-raising hike around some of the City’s scary streets and historic haunts.

Gather your bravest guys & ghouls to make up a team – or go it alone if you dare and meet up with other chilling challengers.

Once you escape there’s ghostly looped routes, with zombie rest stops, and if you manage to get back in one piece there’s a macabre medal, a glass of the Devil’s fizz, some horrific hot food & drink!

Choose your fundraising option:

Full Charity Sponsorship - 25% discount off reg fee is applied for this option!

  • 25km Loop Challenge - £15 registration fee and £240 sponsorship target
  • 10km Loop Challenge - £7.50 registration fee and £150 sponsorship target

Mixed Funding - you pay half of your event place cost, and fundraise a smaller minimum target

  • 25km Loop Challenge - £50 registration fee and £150 sponsorship target
  • 10km Loop Challenge - £25 registration fee and £75 sponsorship target

What to expect

Your entry into the event includes:

Where does the challenge start and finish?

For both distances your challenge will start and finish at the Oval Cricket Ground which has great train and tube links.

What time does the challenge start?

The Halloween Walk Start Windows are:

25K: 14:00 - 15:00pm
10K: 15:00 – 15.30pm

Please arrive about an hour before the time you would like to aim for (within
your specified start window) so that you have enough time to register.

Is the challenge accessible?

Ultra Challenges are physical events, where you can choose to walk, jog or run a distance of 10km –25km. The Event Organisers welcome participants of all abilities who are confident in their ability to participate, however must ensure everyone is clear on the requirements and accessibility restrictions of the route. 

If you have any accessibility concerns or questions you can contact Action Challenge directly to discuss requirements and they'd be happy to support you.

What is the route?

The route starts at the Oval Cricket Ground  and has good tube and train links, plenty of toilets, medics, hot food and drink – and some heat if there’s a chill in the air.

The trek then heads along the Thames and loops through the heart of the Capital, highlighting London's landmarks!

Is there parking?

There is no parking or dedicated drop off area at the start.

The closest tube stations are the Oval (Northern Line) and Vauxhall (Victoria Line & over ground) which are both about a 10 minute walk to the start (there will be signs pointing
to the start area).

What do I need to bring?

The event organisers recommend that you bring a small rucksack (20-30 litres max) to carry all you’ll need for the
walk (extra clothes / water / phone etc).

There will be baggage storage
at The Oval (start/finish) for any larger bags you may have and a cost per item is payable by cash or card on the day - 20kg/80L max size.

Changing rooms will also be available.

Can I take part as a team?

Of course you can! Everyone must register individually as the event organisers require personal details and declarations. Within the form you can choose to ‘Create’ or ‘Join’ a Team.

Teams can be of any size and members can opt for the same or different funding options / distances.

  • When you create a Team  you become the Team Captain. You need a Team Name and a password for others to join. Then you can invite your friends and family to join you!
  • Other people can join the Team as they register, by searching for the Team Name and using the Password

Can Corporate teams get involved too?

Yes! We'd love for you and your colleagues to get involved and fundraise for Anthony Nolan.

When is the fundraising deadline?

For the 'Full Charity Sponsorship' and 'Mixed Funding sponsorship' options at least 50% of your sponsorship target should be raised 3 weeks prior to the challenge.

At this time, Anthony Nolan will then agree to pay a fee for your place to the Event Organisers.

The remaining 50% of your sponsorship should be raised by 4 weeks after the challenge.

Failure to meet the deadline may result in cancellation of your place. The Anthony Nolan Events Team will be here to support you every step of the way so if you need a fundraising deadline extension then we can be flexible, just let us know!

Is there an age limit?

You must be 14+ and accompanied by an adult if taking on the 25km Challenge

You must be 8+ and accompanied by an adult for the 10km Challenge.

Under 18s taking part must be signed up by someone over 18!
