Marsh & Parsons, one of London’s leading Estate Agents, has today announced that it will be raising vital funds for blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan throughout the course of 2019. Marsh & Parsons will aim to raise £25,000 by spearheading corporate and individual fundraising initiatives.
Patrick Littlemore, CEO at Marsh & Parsons, says; 'We’re incredibly proud to be able to support the valuable, life-saving work of Anthony Nolan. As soon as we were introduced to the charity we knew it would be the perfect match, as we share not only a desire to ‘match’ (in our case people and property), but also a shared ethos and wish to better the communities we live and work in. Through our partnership we hope to raise both money and awareness in order to ensure the charity can save and improve the lives of more people with blood cancer, and will encourage our employees and all who we come into contact with to do the same.'
The partnership between the two organisations will mean that Anthony Nolan can fund the search to find stem cell donors for patients with blood cancers and blood disorders who desperately need a transplant. Since 1974, Anthony Nolan has matched over 18,000 people in desperate need of a transplant with donors, giving patients and their families a second chance of life.
Henny Braund, CEO at Anthony Nolan, says; 'We are thrilled we are to be Marsh & Parsons Corporate Social Responsibility partner this year. On behalf of patients and families as well as everybody at Anthony Nolan I’d like to thank staff at Marsh & Parsons. With your energy and endeavour in fundraising and raising vital awareness – you will help us to, one day, find a matching stem cell donor for everybody who needs a transplant. I can’t wait to see the difference Marsh & Parsons will make.'
By encouraging its employees to partake in both sporting activities such as Anthony Nolan’s Walking Together, Tough Mudder, The Three Peaks Challenge and Prudential Ride London, as well as fun team activities like inter-office sporting tournaments, sweepstakes and quizzes, the team at Marsh & Parsons is confident of hitting their target.
Patrick Littlemore says; 'We’re very much looking forward to capitalising on the competitive spirit amongst our 30 branches to maximise fundraising efforts. Our partnership with Anthony Nolan gives us the chance to prove ourselves as a cohesive and successful team with the aim of doing good within the community.'
