Anthony Nolan has published its Gender Pay Gap Report, in line with government legislation

Chief Executive, Henny Braund, says, “We greatly value diversity and support equality, and we welcome the requirement to report gender pay gaps. We hope that in time it will help all organisations identify what they can do to reduce and eliminate any gaps.

"With our family-friendly and flexible working policies we had hoped we wouldn’t have a gender pay gap at Anthony Nolan, but our report shows that in terms of average hourly rates, women were paid 10% (mean) and 14% (median) less than men at Anthony Nolan, when we took our snapshot on 5 April 2017.

"This does not however mean that women were paid less for doing the same job. We are absolutely committed to equal pay and are fully compliant with the Equal Pay Act.”

Anthony Nolan is working to reduce the gender pay gap.

The proportion of women in lower-paid roles at Anthony Nolan is higher than the proportion of women in higher-paid roles, which means women’s average earnings are lower.

We are looking at how we can attract more women to our higher-paid roles - while always recruiting the best candidate for the job regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality – and ensure we are giving everyone equal opportunities to progress.

We will also be talking to other similar organisations, that have a smaller gap, to understand what they are doing that we could adopt.
