Anthony Nolan is proud to be working in partnership with Transport for London, to highlight the vital importance of joining the stem cell register and saving lives.
We are working closely across Transport for London to not only demonstrate the efficiencies needed to ensure speedy delivery of stem cells across the London network, but to also work alongside their colleague network group R.A.C.E (Raising Awareness of Culture and Ethnicity) to raise awareness of the importance of equity, and ensuring all patients have the best access to, experience of, and outcome from, treatment.
I was genetically similar enough to another human somewhere on the planet to give them a second chance… to live. How? Just by donating some of my stem cells to a patient who needed them. To be honest - this felt a bit daunting and a real privilege at the same time. The whole process is beautifully sciency. And also, beautifully human.
