Why did you choose to work for Anthony Nolan?
I wanted to improve my career in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics from both a professional and scientific point of view and to work for the leading company in the field.
What do you get up to in a typical day?
I oversee the third generation DNA sequencing processing in order to establish a match between patients and donors for stem cell transplant purposes.
What do you like most about working here?
The high scientific level, the atmosphere, the people, the amazing stories we get to hear and the feeling that we contributed to making them happen.
What’s been your biggest achievement so far?
I became the point of contact and the go-to person in Labs with regards to Third Generation Sequencing (TGS) data. I’ve also received some lovely feedbacks about my presentations – one of which I gave at a European conference full of amazing scientists.
