Our team of marathon runners includes Olympic cyclist Chris Newton, One Show reporters Joe Crowley and Lucy Siegle, and actor Ann Marie Davies.
Anthony Nolan is the official charity of the Virgin Money London Marathon.
We’re aiming to raise £1 million which will pay for 10,000 people to join our donor register.
For someone with blood cancer, that’s 10,000 chances of a cure.
Around 36,000 people will be taking part in the iconic 26.2 mile race with over 500 people running for Anthony Nolan including our four celebrity runners.
Our volunteers will be out in force collecting money and cheering on our runners. You can find out more about the day and see the full route map here.
Here are the four special celebrities lacing up for Anthony Nolan!
Joe Crowley
Broadcast journalist Joe Crowley is a regular face on BBC television, reporting and presenting for the One Show as well as presenting their returning holiday series Holiday Hit Squad and Britain’s Empty Homes.
He is also the host of the Bloody Tales series for National Geographic.
He is a supporter of Anthony Nolan and is delighted to be running for us in the year we are the London Marathon’s official charity, as Joe has personal experience with the cause.
Joe said, "As you may or may not know, 16 years ago this spring I lost my dad Chris to blood cancer, which is why Anthony Nolan means a great deal to me."
This is Joe’s first marathon and as someone who’s new to running he has only one 10k and the 2013 Great South Run to his name.
"So far, running has killed my weekends, shredded my hamstrings, given me shin splints and, worse still turned me into one of ‘those’ marathon bores.
"So please, please, please make this worthwhile by sparing anything you can."

Lucy Siegle
Lucy Siegle is a broadcaster and journalist best known as a longstanding member of The One Show team. Lucy was inspired by Joe Crowley’s incredible drive to do the marathon for Anthony Nolan and his late father.
She has fronted hundreds of films since the show began seven years ago, from the recent floods to hovercraft racing and the dark side of Ibiza's party scene.
Lucy is a well known journalist and an Observer columnist on environmental justice.
Lucy said, "This is my first marathon and I'm equally excited and terrified. I'm running for Anthony Nolan with fellow One Show reporter, Joe Crowley. My previous experience consists of a half marathon in October.
"Thank you to everybody who has given me such precious advice. Now give me some money for Anthony Nolan!"

Chris Newton
Former Olympic cyclist, Chris Newton is aiming to be the first celebrity over the line at the Virgin Money London Marathon.
He’s hoping to beat his previous time of 2:49:13 whilst supporting Anthony Nolan.
Chris was one of the United Kingdom's best ever international riders both on the road and track. He’s a 5 x Olympian, 3 x Olympic medallist (Silver in Athens, Bronze in Sydney and Beijing) and a 2 x world champion. He is currently the coach of Great Britain cycling’s female Olympic endurance team.
Chris said: "I’m thrilled to support Anthony Nolan as the official charity for the marathon.
"Anthony Nolan is celebrating its 40th anniversary and today their work is as important as ever.
"They match remarkable people willing to donate their bone marrow to patients in desperate need of a transplant. You can help my motivation by donating to such a worthy cause."

Ann Marie Davies
Ann Marie Davies is a professional actor from television (mostly recognised for playing Katrina in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside), theatre and film.
She is also a model and presenter and is married to Karl Robinson, MK Dons Football Manager, and has an 8 year old daughter called Jasmine.
This is Ann Marie’s third marathon, having previously run in the Liverpool Marathon and Milton Keynes Marathon.
This year she’s taking on the Virgin Money London Marathon for Anthony Nolan.
Ann Marie said, "It’s great to support the official charity of the marathon and to know I’m helping cure blood cancer every step of the way.
"Cancer is something that affects us all.
"A close friend’s son, Henry Allen, was only four years old when he passed away from cancer.
"It’s an honour to know I’m running for Anthony Nolan and the money I raise will go towards getting more bone marrow donors onto the registry.
"It costs £100 to recruit and look after each potential donor.
"So dig deep!
"All my friends that have done the London Marathon say it’s amazing.
"The crowds and the atmosphere really get you through!"
