We are delighted to announce that Anthony Nolan has launched a charity partnership with technology company Geonomics.
Geonomics, creator of the interactive game GeoSweep, marked the start of its partnership with Anthony Nolan with a ‘Spit Day’, encouraging employees to join the bone marrow register.
The partnership will see the interactive lottery game provider embark on a host of fundraising activities in aid of the charity, including weekends away, a trek up Mount Snowdon and Geonomics’ own beer festival – Geoberfest. The lottery company aims to raise a total of £5,000 for Anthony Nolan over the course of the partnership.
Nicky Read, Head of Corporate Fundraising at Anthony Nolan, says: ‘We are delighted that the staff at Geonomics have chosen to support Anthony Nolan as their charity of the year. We have been overwhelmed by the effort and passion shown by staff so far and look forward to the events we have planned for our year together.
‘Every day, Anthony Nolan helps two people in need of a lifesaving transplant. Geonomics’ support will help us to raise precious funds and vital awareness – which are crucial in helping us reach our goal of finding a donor for every patient who needs one.’
Henry Oakes, founder and sales director at Geonomics, comments: ‘Getting together to raise money for a good cause is an important part of our company ethos – we are delighted to be working with a charity making such strides in treating and curing blood cancer. Everyone in the company is getting really enthusiastic about our fundraising events in the coming months, and we’re already well on our way to reaching our target.’
