Furniture Village are supporting Anthony Nolan by introducing ‘Sofa of Change’ collection boxes at each of their 39 branches.
It is estimated that over £42 million pounds is found under the cushions of sofas in the UK. Furniture Village is asking customers to use their spare change to help Anthony Nolan save lives.
Peter Harrison, Chairman of Furniture Village, has been a Trustee of Anthony Nolan since 2007, and the company is pleased to support the life-altering work carried out by the charity.
Nicky Read, Head of Corporate Fundraising at Anthony Nolan, says ‘We are delighted to be working with Furniture Village on this fantastic initiative. The Sofa of Change fundraising boxes show that even small donations of loose change can make a huge difference. It costs us £100 to recruit each potential donor to the register, so these donations really do help us save lives.’
