Anthony Nolan is at the forefront of advancing cell therapies through our collection capabilities and provision of cellular starting material. We have access to an extensive donor register, a dedicated cord blood bank and in early 2025 will be opening the Anthony Nolan Cell Collection Centre.

The new Anthony Nolan Cell Collection Centre will be dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art apheresis services while ensuring the wellbeing of our donors. This facility is designed to:
- Facilitate lifesaving treatments. By enabling faster access to stem cells for transplant, we aim to improve patient outcomes.
- Support cell and gene therapy research, development and ongoing cell therapy treatment. With increased availability of vital cellular starting material, we are poised to drive forward innovations in medical research and treatment.
The centre will operate in partnership with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Nottingham Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, enhancing our collaborative efforts in advancing healthcare solutions as well as furthering our trusted NHS partnerships.
Established Cord Blood Bank
Since its inception in 2008, the Anthony Nolan Cord Blood Bank has become a vital resource, now housing over 10,000 high-quality cord blood units. Our active collection program engages over 6,000 new donors each year, providing a diverse range of materials for clinical and research applications.
